Do you like Piña Coladas?!

Just because we’re not lounging on a beach somewhere tropical doesn’t mean we won’t be celebrating National Piña Colada Day! It came just in time to commemorate 10 years of business for C2O coconut water. Y’all know it’s our fav so we had to incorporate it into our piña coladas. This islandy cocktail has been around for decades and it is the staple drink for a summer getaway, even if it’s just to the pool!

National Piña Colada Day is July 10th so celebrate where ever you're at with a homemade cocktail!

Ingredients For a Good Time

- 1/2 of a Fresh Pineapple, cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
- 6 oz Sweetened Cream of Coconut (we’re not fans of the added sugar so we opted for an unsweetened coco cream but full disclosure if you don't enjoy the taste of suntan lotion we recommend using the sweetened version)
- 3 oz of C20 Coconut Water
- 8 oz White Rum
- 2 TBSP Fresh Lime Juice
- 2 oz Dark Rum
- Maraschino Cherries and Lime Wedges (for looking fancy!)

-Mini Umbrellas (a piña colada isn’t complete without one)

Take a spin on the classic piña colada recipe by adding coconut water instead of coconut milk!
Use a hollowed out pineapple as a bowl to serve fresh pineapple at any summer gathering!
Every good piña colada has multiple garnishes. Like these maraschino cherries and lime wedges!
C20 Pure Coconut Water is refreshing, hydrating, and makes a great addition to a traditional piña colada!

Steps to a Dreamy Drink

If you want to be extra, which you know we will always chose the extra route, you can follow in our foot steps. We cored our pineapple the night before and stuck the hollowed part in the freezer so that it could double as our drinking glass the next day. Your first easy step (if you don’t want to be extra) to enjoying this tropical treat is to combine all of the ingredients except for the dark rum into a blender. And blend away until it’s all smooth. Put your mixture into the freezer for about 30-40minutes. Blend the mixture for a second time to ensure you have a perfect drinkable consistency. If you're feelin' flossy (or want to be), pour your perfectly blended mixture into your hollowed out frozen piña and add a dark rum float to top it all off! A lime wedge, maraschino cherry, and an extra piña slice are the perfect additions to accomplish those tropical vibes. Don’t forget the cute umbrellas!

It's all about the garnishes and a dark rum float when it comes to a legit piña colada!
There is nothing better than a cute piña colada on a hot summer day!

We hope y'all are feeling the tropical vibes this summer! We'd love to hear what some of your favorite summer cocktails are! Tag us on Insta @OHBIofficial so we can virtually hang with y'all!

Drinks are on us when we've got the fridge stocked with C2O pure coconut water!
